Bestiary

Pirates are the crime lords of the sea, always seeking to claim the wealth of others. Every ship requires a loyal crew, usually consisting of former sailors, escaped prisoners and treasure hunters alike. Each member has a specific role ensuring the ship remains functional and prepared for battle, even during the harshest conditions on the open sea. Pirate cooks are often inexperienced deckhands or low-ranking sailors seeking new adventures at sea. Food aboard a pirate ship can become scarce and cooks are known to hide sought-after rations from others to avoid hunger themselves. Despite their title, the cook commonly had to perform amputations after battle when no real surgeon is available. This task earned them the feared nickname "sea butcher". Their experience with blades makes them surprisingly capable fighters in close combat.
