Summer Update Changes during Test Server

After the summer update’s test phase came to an end last Tuesday, we would like to thank everyone who participated and shared their thoughts on the test server board.

Based on the valuable feedback and suggestions we received, we made numerous adjustments throughout the test period. In this article, we have summarised the most important changes for you.

Changes to Shards of a Broken Moon:

  • We have increased the creature density in the Asura Citadel hunting grounds.
  • The Forbidden Gardens hunting ground has received a more efficient layout, the creature density has been increased, and the experience from true feverbloom asuras has been increased to 7,850 XP.
  • We have adjusted the catnip and gilded bell mechanics so that raid creatures despawn sooner, and limited the maximum number of simultaneously active raids to three.
  • The Moonsnow Magnolia boss drops more loot, but can now remove magic fields.
  • We have made various other adjustments to Moonsnow Magnolia to make the fight more accessible.

Changes to Make Believe:

  • We have increased the creature density in the hunting grounds as well as the experience gained from the devoted radiant creatures.
  • Mimar Haffar boss has received various adjustments to make the fight more accessible, and now also rewards you with significantly more XP.
  • Maior Domus boss has received several changes and balancing tweaks to make it a great but fair challenge. Similar to Mimar Haffar, the XP gain has been increased.
  • Phosphorus boss does more damage to reflect the fact that his last phase should be the biggest challenge of the fight. The XP gain has been increased to be more in line with the bosses from Rotten Blood.

Gear and Items:

  • Moonsilver Chopper (Axe 2H): Switched elemental damage from fire to energy.
  • Moonsilver weapons: Their Weapon Proficiency has been adjusted, their primary skill boost has been increased by 1.
  • Moonsilver helmets: Changed all augments from Mana Leech to Critical Extra Damage, and also tweaked various stats to make them more powerful.
  • Enchanted Flamingo Amulet of Valor / Precision / Harmony: Increased primary skill boost by 1.

Feature changes

Echo Raids:

  • Killing a creature has a chance to instantly spawn an Echo Raid above its corpse. This is additional to the Echo Raids that spawn over time.
  • The respawn time of Echo Raids has been reduced.
  • We have increased the chance for Echo Wardens to spawn. The chance is doubled when you have completed the Bestiary entry for the creature.
  • Echo Wardens additionally always drop a Proficiency Catalyst, with varying chances for Lesser, Regular, and Greater Proficiency Catalysts.
  • Echo Raids that spawn Influenced Creatures, create four Influenced Creatures instead of three.
  • Creatures spawned by an Echo Raid despawn after 10 minutes.

Weapon Proficiency Manipulation:

  • We have adjusted the strength of various perks
  • We have added perks for additional spells.
  • We have simplified some perks that previously depended on a specific skill level. These perks now scale with your highest combat skill level instead

Discovery System:

  • We have slightly improved the interface.
  • You will receive a message in the server log when you leave a subarea that has not yet been fully discovered.

During the test phase, we also communicated several other minor bugfixes and smaller changes that have been implemented.
